The ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilation) equipment allows fresh air to be heated or cooled before it enters the house, avoiding extreme shifts in temperature and giving the owner optimal control of heat and moisture levels. Electrical equipment is desirable as it allows for the use of renewable energy sources and a net-zero home if desired.
