Farmhouse Transitional

This young family wanted to transform a 1960’s builder colonial into a fun modern home. Modern windows, siding and a big garage workshop addition set the framework for a colorful clean and joyful interior. This zero energy ready house uses a quarter of the energy of it’s original construction.

Mid century modern design and a love of books and cooking and the desire for plenty of family time drove this design. The large garage serves as a great car-workshop and music studio. Indoor/outdoor porches and landscaping make the house neighborhood friendly and host many gatherings for local families and kids.
