This is the second Net Zero home we designed for our clients. The first house was a 6,500 sf home in New Canaan, CT.  This much smaller house was designed as our clients' retirement home. 

We were tasked with creating a 2,400 sf home with all living space on one floor - to facilitate aging in place. The lower level contains guest rooms for their visiting children and grandchildren. 

The clients monitored the very efficient energy use of their previous house, and wanted the same kind of highly-efficient home for retirement.  They wanted a contemporary aesthetic with lots of warm wood beams and a brick wall. The result is a perfect house just for them.
